Working for the tourism industry for the past 18 years as an advertising consultant, my photographs have been published in tourism brochures, calendars in travel & trade shows in India, Berlin, Seoul, America, Poland and France and Solo Show at Delhi “Breathing Space” 2007 and participation in the Art Singapore 2008 fair..
An ardent traveler and a nature lover, I have extensively traveled through the mountains of North India and the across the varied terrains of India. The beauty of the regions of Ladakh, Lahaul and Spiti has beckoned me time and again. My photographs of this region are an experience of expansion, spaciousness, openness, and boundlessness. My work is centered on travel photography in India. The images are from many parts of India, depicting the lyrical quality of life, spirit and the pulse of this country. Common objects, people, places are portrayed in abstract compositions. These adorn a different perspective when viewed in this manner and the beauty of the moment is captured in the frame. The images make a social statement of the way; life continues its journey in different parts of India.
As a photographer, I have tried to portray the essence of this magical land, from capturing the space, vastness, the pulsating vibrations and journey of life.
My photographic images are an abstract form of artistic expression which is spiritually as well as mentally rewarding.
